Do you know Lily that according to studies, 50% of drivers are using windshield wipers beyond its lifespan? That means, there are drivers who still use windshield wipers even if its time to buy windshield wipers (that are new). To help you decide whether you need to purchase a new windshield wiper for your car or not, take these things in consideration:
There are cracks or torn rubber such as gouges, flaps, or splits on the blades.
Your windshield wiper blades are deteriorating and changing its color.
The windshield wiper blades’ edges are ragged.
The windshield wiper blades are bent which caused irregular pattern when wiping.
If one of those conditions applied, then I guess you need to buy windshield wipers. But it is also important to remember that auto experts recommend and suggest changing your windshield wiper blades regularly. In fact they believe that windshield wipers should be change once every 12 months or once in year, to ensure the best condition for your car. But in the end, you’re still the one to decide whether you want to change your windshield wiper or not. Just make sure to check those conditions I have mentioned to check whether it’s time for a new windshield wiper or not.

Fourth, if you live in an area with snowy and cold climate, consider choosing windshield wipers that are for cold-weather. This type of windshield is stronger as compared to windshield wiper with standard blades. They too have specialized rubber that refrains them from getting immobile or clogged during snowy weather.

My boyfriends windshield wipers dont work so I was thinking one thing I could get him for a late Christmas gift would be new ones…is it possible to just go in Advanced Auto Parts and tell the type of car he has and get two? or do they have to install it? I don't know much about it, and how much are they?
Im thinking about buying this car thats $800. Its a 2000 dodge intrepid. The windshield is cracked really bad. I am wondering if i could use plexi glass for a windshield.
Glass is cracked from a little pesky pebble in the freeway.. strapped for cash, might as well try a repair kit.. any ideas where I could buy one in the Valley (Burbank/LA)? I know Walmart has one, but there aren't any Walmarts around here.. checked Target, but they don't seem to have one. Thanks!
How much would it cost to buy and install a new windshield?
i have an 02 dodge neon. i also have a small hole on the corner of the roof. how much would it cost to fix that as well? i dont think it needs a new roof. maybe bondo?
I have never found an orange blade. However, http://www.streakfreewiperblades.com does carry red, gold, yellow, blue gray, white, green, purple, and white silicone wiper blades. I have never used silicone blades personally (too expensive for me), but they are supposed to be better than traditional rubber blades and last longer. Continue reading »
